43 participants on 21st  February, 2020, graduated after successfully undergoing 41 days of intensive training course on pottery production Techniques at the Great Hall of the College, Goderich Campus. The training, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by the Hunan International Business Vocational College, in collaboration with the MMCET, took place from the 14th January to the 20th February 2020.

Du Mengyi, Project Manager of the Hunan International Business Vocational College enlightened that experts for the training were from the Lilling Ceramics and Fireworks Technical College in China who introduced pottery production and carving techniques to help the participants know about the necessary techniques in pottery production.

Dr. Mohamed Alie Jalloh, Vice Principal and Director of Studies of MMCET stated that the College was gratified for what the Chinese expert have done in impacting knowledge to the participants and congratulated the participants for acquiring skills that would help them become self- reliant as they become job creators and not seekers.

Zhang Xueqian, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy noted that after seeing the wonderful pottery designed by the participants, he’s certain that the training fulfilled its objective and was delighted to learn that some of them would soon open their own pottery workshops.

Dr. Josephus Brima, Chief Technical and Higher Education Officer, Ministry of Tertiary and Higher Education stated that he was really impressed with what he saw and appealed to the Chinese Government for more support.
